Knol Khol have crispy, pleasant taste, and rich flavour and contain good amounts of vitamin A and C, folic acid and dietary fibre. Harvested just after they have sprouted and produced their first set of true leaves.
Knol khol is cultivated for its edible knob that is a swollen portion above the ground. It is one of the lesser known vegetables.The knob is harvested for consumption as raw or cooked vegetable.
Tender leaves are also edible. The plant needs 6 to 8 hours of daily sunlight.
