Leek is not grown commercially on a large scale in India, but it is a favourite in kitchen gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Leeks grow best in cool weather, full sun and loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Raise seedlings in a nursery and transplant them when they are about the thickness of a pencil.
